I’m from Oklahoma City and every year since I could remember, the day after Easter would begin our Annual Simultaneous Revival which is the longest running revival and has made such an impact within our state and nation.

Some of the greatest preachers that we have heard especially in the history of the Black Church, have come to Oklahoma City and have preached unforgettable sermons. Preachers that have motivated and inspired us to grow closer to God, encouraged us, and made us really study in depth our sermons as younger preachers in order to grow within our own ministries.

I’ve been blessed to have heard so many great preachers over the years and sermons that were wow!! These messages have stayed with me all these years, these messages have made me not quit, these messages have made me look within myself in my Christian walk and as a preacher! I love preaching and love the ministry, when you see preachers that you admire and respect and see them in action it does so much for you and it challenges and changes you for the better.

So yes I can’t wait for this week and I thank God for all the preachers that have blessed our city, our Churches, our ministries, and me personally!!!! That’s the thing is that I listen and learn, I believe God shows and reveals to us that if we want to go far in our ministries we have to put the effort into it! Just like a basketball team gets great to win championships they put time and effort into it and I feel the same in preaching; the more time, preparation, and effort you put into it the more the Lord can use you.

It shall be a blessed time and a blessed week in the Lord yes it shall, and I know that it will be that way and I know from hearing the scholarship, the craftiness, and the structure of these messages will make us all the better and motivated. Thank you Lord for this revival and praying now for our Churches, our city, our state, the guest evangelists, and that lost souls will come to Jesus Christ during this time of our city wide revival!!!

Flying is certainly a fun thing to do and participate in. We all have and like to catch flights to various destinations especially during vacations whether it is; Seattle, France, Italy, Washington DC, Miami, and other fun and entertaining places that we have seen and have been able to go to these places to have fun on these flights and within flights you can go to sleep, read, rest, and watch movies those are all apart of a flight that we all will experience and enjoy in our flights.

However even though we like these flights there is one thing that we can’t predict and what we can’t predict is the weather. I mean we have been on flights that were clear skies in the air but other flights whether it was rain, cloudy, or windy but that is one thing that we can’t predict is that weather because the weather is unpredictable and it can change. I mean we all would like and would all enjoy a comfortable and relaxing flight but that is not always the case no it isn’t always the case sometimes there are some conditions that you have to deal with and have to live with and have to live through because once you are in the air it’s not like you can pull out the air and on the ground like driving a car! Every now and then you have to go through the conditions but you can make it because when you have the right pilot you’ll be calm and trusting.

In our lives we all are on this flight called life and the airplane we are on yes we are on the flight but even though we are on this flight we can’t always predict the conditions and what might happen because sometimes life is sunny and other times life is stormy and windy yes it is but even though can’t control the conditions you can always have confidence in the captain! When God is you’re captain you can stay onboard no matter the conditions and no matter what we face that’s apart of life and that’s what comes our way but that’s when the faith that you have in God will show up and come to the forefront how you respond will determine if you will make it or not.

You got to stay on board yes you got to stay on board through all of the different cycles that occur with God the Lord will get you through, the Lord will make a way, the Lord will take care of you, the Lord will not leave you or forsake you or neglect you the Lord won’t do that. But you have to keep on flying and keep on soaring it isn’t always easy and it isn’t always the way you want it to be however that doesn’t mean you should quit and that doesn’t mean you should stop. You’ll never fully appreciate the flight if you don’t satay with it and you got to stay with the Lord in every situation and seasons there will be good ones and bad ones but the Lord is still good and the Lord never changes and the Lord knows where to lead us and take us that’s how good He is that He knows what is best for us.

An easy life is a life that won’t appreciate or hang in there when things get hard and tough! There are moments and periods in our lives that things will get right and things will get rocky however it is those times that you will really grow and will see what you are made of at that time and those times are what you need to know and what you need to see. You see God not just in the good times but also in the bad times and you’ll let many things go and stop trying to do things yourself but give it to the Lord! If you can’t control it stop trying to solve it, it is some stuff that is out of our control but the Lord is always in control that’s the encouragement we all need is that the Lord is always in control in the midst of the ups and downs and ebs and flows the Lord is always in control yes the Lord is always in control.

When you fly even though those conditions occur but you notice at some point you are going to land and anybody that has had a safe flight will say how thankful and grateful I am for a safe flight. That’s the same way in our lives as well that God will get is to the right destination safely, yes it might be some turbulence but God will get you there safely, it might be some trouble but the Lord will get you safely, it might not be the way you envisioned but the Lord will get you safely, that He will do for you and do for me we have to trust Him and believe in Him because He knows what is best for us and He knows what it takes to push us closer to Him.

Stay with the flight and stay onboard and watch God take care of you, watch God elevate you, watch God bless you. You’re blessed whether it is sunny or rainy in you’re life yet we are still blessed. May not look or feel like it but we are blessed and God has blessed us and will bless us the way He wants us to! Just don’t let a rough moment make you runaway from a life of promise and potential just keep flying! Keep flying! Keep flying! The Lord is able and the Lord is just and the Lord is going to solve it for you! Do you’re part and believe and stay with it and He will do His part by getting you there and keeping His hands on you!

In our lives that we live all of us have seen and have had to go through and even experience transitions. Transitions occur all of the time and changes occur all the time whether it is a neighborhood change, job change, school change, lifestyle change there will always be a change that happens in our lives in which we have to endure and face those changes.

Sometimes that’s all you can do when changes happen is that you have to endure and you have to face those changes because they are apart of this journey especially the Christian journey that we are living in, the Lord will always send some changes in our path. The worst thing any of us can do is stay in something when we know that it is time to go and at some point you’ve got to have the courage, boldness, bravery, and faith to go with the changes that are occurring in your life. You should never be afraid of life’s adjustments because that is what is best for us at times is to have some re-adjustments in our lives instead of staying stuck, staying content, sometimes the Lord will make us uncomfortable and will cause something to happen in our lives that will make us just have to face and deal with that reality that it is time for some changes yes it is because you can’t really grow until you have been made uncomfortable.

You might wonder why am I dealing with these changes and dealing with this transition well in order to really grow and in order to get free and in order to get some real deliverance I have to have some changes in my life. I need changes of people, changes of habits, changes of things, changes of places, changes of situations yes there are some things I’m getting rid of because if I’m going to get to where I need to be, want to be, and really where the Lord requires me to be then I have to start accepting and appreciating the changes in my life.

What is it that you need to have changed in your life and you’ve been told to change but you haven’t? A lot of things we miss out on are things we shouldn’t but because we keep trying to hold on to the unproductive we miss out on our pruning seasons! Don’t miss out the best by still staying with the average and when you begin to make changes you will feel better, think better, sound better, and act better that all comes into play and the equation when we make the appropriate changes that are for our betterment. Don’t apologize for making changes that’s not what you need to do but you just need to make the changes that you need to make because there is something that is waiting for you and there is something that you need and there is something only for you yes it is and that is what is key and crucial that when we make these changes it is for our good and for our benefit.

Tracy McGrady had to make a change from the Toronto Raptors to the Orlando Magic and when he moved he went from a regular player into a superstar and Hall of Fame player all because he made a change that was for the better. That’s how life is when you get moving and make the better changes you get to newer heights yes you will and at some point you have to make up your mind saying that I’m going to move on and press on going to new heights and going to new dimensions yes because we all have to do what is best for us don’t delay but do what is best for you, don’t put your happiness on pause trying to be boxed in God has more for all of us don’t stay boxed in and don’t stay down but move on and press on it’s time for a change!

Are you ready for the change? Get ready it’s time to make a change and it’s time to go where the Lord wants you to be and do what the Lord wants you to do! God will do it and God will make a way and God will see you through yes He will! I’m ready and you should be ready for a new season and for a new day in your life and trusting in the Lord because the Lord has something great for you!
